Kennett-Holcomb remains undefeated at 5-0-1 after a decisive 9-0 victory over Charleston, featuring standout performances by doubles champs Claire Bean and Handley McAtee.

KENNETT, Mo. - The Kennett-Holcomb team competed in their second home match of the season against Charleston.

It resulted in another clean sweep, as Kennett gained a 9-0 victory. They now sit at 5-0-1 for the season.

The defending doubles state champs, Claire Bean and Handley McAtee, opened up play with a 8-0 win over De’Ava and De’Ziya Hamilton.

Bean also went 8-0 against De’Ziya Hamilton in the singles competition, McAtee won 8-1 in singles against Charleston’s Amelia Logan.

The second doubles pairing of Emory Kamper and Olivia Rebstock completed an 8-0 sweep over Logan and Olandria Williams from Charleston.

Jady Quinn and Lydia Teeter completed doubles play with a 8-3 victory over Charleston's Vandrayia Biles and Katrice Brown.

Along with Bean, Rebstock won 8-0 over Biles from Charleston and Teeter won 8-0 over Brown.

Kennett’s Quinn and Kamper both went 8-1 in singles play.

The Kennett-Holcomb team will continue their season on the road at Jackson on Thursday, Sep. 5 before returning home to play in the Kennett Invitational Tournament.

The Kennett Invitational will be played on Friday Sep. 6.
